“EMPTY ROOMS THAT ECHO AS I CLIMB THE STAIRS, EMPTY CLOTHES THAT DRAPE AND FALL ON EMPTY CHAIRS”……Don Mclean

It’s been a very long two weeks since John was home. I haven’t been rudely awoken from my slumbers at some god unearthly hour to have a conversation about the Man Boat. I haven’t eaten cake at dawn with a ‘Tickle me Elmo’ covered in raspberry jam, and I haven’t been hugged within in an inch of my life. Oh how I miss my gorgeous, noisy, funny boy…….only two more sleeps!
